Do you think Darth Vader sees C-3PO and remembers back to the hours spent in his childhood working on assembling him?

This forgotten castle (Château de la Mothe-Chandeniers) was abandoned after a fire In 1932. Seeing it up close is breathtaking. These days it seems like castles only exist in storybooks and Disney movies. What happened to the foreboding dwellings of our wealthiest ancestors? The truth of the matter is, while there are still many castles in Europe, many have fallen into disrepair and ruin over time. However, a group of preservationists in France are trying to save a 13th century castle that is slowly being reclaimed by nature. The story behind the abandoned property is just as fascinating as what’s left standing today. See an amazing video here.

Because as any writer will tell you, an IDEA for a book is like falling in love, it’s all wild emotion and headlong rush, but the ACTUAL ACT of writing a book is like building a relationship: it is joyous, slow, fragile, frustrating, exhilarating, painstaking, exhausting, worth it.

That one time when Dave Chapelle accurately portrayed mainstream gay white male culture

Chapelle: “Alright, go ahead show the clip.”

Older man: “Here in Huntsville, Alabama, they have started a gay chapter of the Klu Klux Klan.”

Klan member: “Oh! It’s hot like the Dickens. As I was saying, we hate too, okay? But we do it a special way. We do it with compassion.” [to family] “Good morning! I’m with the KKK. We had a meeting, and we were talking and we’d be more comfortable if you guys left the neighborhood. Have you considered going back to Africa?”

While leaders across the country refuse to accept Syrian refugees, insisting they pose an unacceptable security risk, homegrown domestic extremists have been doing a pretty good job of terrorizing their fellow Americans with guns, explosives and threats of large-scale attacks. In addition to these, we can’t leave off the shooting in Minneapolis.
